And so it begins . . . .

Aug 16:  7th graders and all new 8th graders should report to school.  School will begin at 8;10 a.m.  You will meet your Teacher Advisor and get a chance to attend all of your classes for about 20 minutes each.

Aug 17:  All students should attend.  We will run a short schedule with classes being about 17 minutes in length.  Students should come to class with pencils and notebooks.

Materials needed for Math:
Scientific Calculator

5-subject notebook

3-ring binder (1 or 1.5 inch will work)

2 to 3 pencils

colored markers (thin line)

My last post for 2011-2012 school year!

I hope you have found the blog useful to stay updated on assignments and activities going on in my classroom.  If you want to help your child prepare for next year, please have them practice math over the summer.  They all have access to IXL and can log in at anytime to stay current with their skills.  Practicing their basic facts, integers, order of operations and fractions will help them stay ahead of the game for next school year.  Do not let them get by with "I'm bored!!!!"  There are some cool math games out there for iPods, iPads and online.  Simply Google the topic and all kinds of options will come up.

I have enjoyed having your student in class!
